What a beautiful piece of writing. Thank you for sharing this day with us. I’ve never been to Dulwich Picture Gallery - hadn’t even heard of it til last week, but now it’s been in several things I’ve read in just a few days. But it’s only your words here that have made me want to plan a visit soon.
I understand perfectly, having had a few of my own Chronic Fatigue struggles over the last few years. I’m really glad to hear you’re improving. Don’t rush things.
They have a knack for picking imaginative exhibitions. I also saw Tove Janssen there (far more than just Moomins). It’s also a very pleasant day out, since it is undeniably posh and leafy. Best reached via train from London Bridge I think, the buses take ages. It’s lovely to hear from you again. How are things going with your back?
I really will get myself there soon thanks to you. I’m walking my five miles a day again since before Christmas, but only started housepainting again today. Gym is harder than I’d like but I’m back there as well. I think you’ll understand when I say some of recovery is hard because we do lose strength when laid up… but then there’s also fear of pain returning, and that is the thing I’m trying now to gently move through and beyond. Thank you again for the lovely post you shared with us all.
